Birthweight CurvesWeights are in grams in the vertical column. Gestational age — i.e., the length of time from conception in weeks — is charted in the horizontal column (with 40 weeks begin full-term pregnancy). The green curve represents the average birth weight for all children, the blue curve charts the highest ten percent in weight and the red curve charts the lowest ten percent.
